History
Established in 1973.
Fred and Betty Beussink opened Beussink Automatic Transmission Service in their one-car garage when they first moved back to Leopold, Missouri, in 1973. In 1989 they built our current building and expanded it to offer other automotive services and repairs. Our building is located at the corner of N Highway and the entrance into Leopold, which is right beside the Knights of Columbus Hall and ball field.
Today, Beussink Transmission & Repair is still owned by a husband-and-wife team. The current owner, Mike Vandeven, came to work for Beussink’s in 1999 and soon after began rebuilding transmissions. With the encouragement and blessing of the Beussink family, Mike and his wife, Alicia, purchased the business from the Beussinks on September 1, 2011. With the same workers, it was a smooth transition for everyone without a day of work missed.

Our knowledgeable staff will diagnose and repair your vehicle in a timely manner. We provide a free scan and short test drive, which many times is enough to complete an estimate. The parts that we use and the integrity of those parts is important to us, so we only use quality parts. With our general automotive repairs, you’ll receive a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty. On Transmission rebuilds we offer a 3yr, 100,000 mile warranty on most vehicles. Diesel trucks receive a 2yr, 24,000 mile warranty. You can count on us to stand behind our work and maintain your trust.
We are an AcDelco Professional Service center, so AcDelco extends a 12 month roadside assistance program to you for each vehicle that is repaired or serviced at our shop!
